Joseph R. Cox

Joe grew up in Letcher and Bell Counties in eastern Kentucky before he came to Bowling Green to attend Western Kentucky University. He enjoyed Bowling Green so much that, other than three years for law school, he has lived in the area since. Joe graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2002 with a B.A. in English and Government, and married his wife, Julie, later that year. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Louisville’s law school in 2005.

Joe has practiced law in Bowling Green since 2005. His practice initially focused on civil litigation, collections, and probate law, and among other matters, Joe has served as counsel or co-counsel on four published Kentucky appellate decisions. In recent years, Joe has enjoyed working to assist clients in a variety of areas including business and real estate law, and is always ready to meet his clients’ changing needs. Joe has been admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.

Joe resides with his wife and children in Logan County. Joe is a deacon at Woodburn Baptist Church, and also serves as moderator of the church business meetings and a musician in the praise band. He has also volunteered in the Warren County Big Brothers & Big Sisters program. Joe co-authored a regionally best-selling book, 100 Things Wildcats Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die, in 2012.
